Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
This policy explains what Simply Solver stores, what stays in the browser during normal simulation runs, how optional AI features work, and which service providers help run the product.
1. Overview
Simply Solver ("Simply Solver", "we", "our", or "us") provides browser-based process simulation software. This policy describes the information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to operate the service, support users, and improve reliability.
Account and authentication data
- Email address and basic profile information.
- Information provided by sign-in providers such as Google or LinkedIn if you choose those login methods.
Saved product data
- Saved projects, workspaces, model definitions, notes, and other content you choose to store in the product.
- Sharing, collaboration, and access-control data needed to support workspaces and public links.
Usage, guest, and support data
- Guest-session analytics, page views, browser and device details, diagnostics, and error-monitoring information.
- Support tickets, emails, and related product context needed to help you.
Billing data
- Subscription and customer references needed to manage billing with Stripe.
- Payment card details are handled by Stripe, not stored directly by Simply Solver.
3. How We Use Information
- To authenticate users, save projects, and operate collaboration features.
- To process billing, manage subscriptions, and provide account access.
- To respond to support requests, bug reports, and buyer-review questions.
- To monitor reliability, investigate issues, and improve the product.
- To power optional AI features when you choose to use them.
4. What Runs In Your Browser
Standard simulation runs are designed to execute in your browser. That browser-based runtime is one of the core product boundaries. If you choose to save a project, however, the model definition and related project data are stored in your account so you can reopen, share, and collaborate on it later.
5. Optional AI Features
AI features are optional. When you use AI-assisted creation or guidance, relevant prompt and model context may be processed by third-party AI providers through our serverless functions.
- Current AI providers may include OpenAI and Google Gemini.
- Do not place regulated personal data, PHI, or other sensitive production data into AI prompts unless your organization has approved that workflow.
6. Service Providers
Simply Solver relies on third-party services to operate the product. These may include:
- Supabase for authentication, database storage, and realtime features.
- Stripe for checkout, billing portal, and subscription management.
- Google and LinkedIn for optional social login.
- OpenAI and Google Gemini for optional AI features.
- Resend for transactional emails such as invitations and support confirmations.
- Vercel and Sentry for hosting, analytics, and operational reliability.
7. Retention and Deletion
Account and saved project data are generally kept until you delete them, close the account, or request removal. Deleted projects may remain in trash until permanently removed. Billing records are also subject to Stripe's retention practices, and support tickets may be retained to maintain support history and investigate issues.
8. Security
We use managed service providers, access controls, and HTTPS delivery to help protect the service. No online system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this page as the product and operating practices evolve. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this policy.
